50th Anniversary Wedding Party

M: My high school class is having its 20 year reunion.
B: Oh really? Are you going?
M: Naw. Living here in Japan, it's not so easy to get away.
B: Yeah, I guess that's true.
M: It reminds me of my high school graduation party. Every year at my high school, the senior class
throws a graduation party, and each class chooses its own theme. One year it may be Hawaiian, another
year its Star Wars, and so on. Well my class was Lord Of The Rings.
B: Oh really? But they just came out with those movies recently.
M: We did it based on the book.
B: Ahh, I see.
M: We decorated the school gymnasium to look like middle Earth, and everyone came dressed as a
character from the book.
B: Wow. Sounds like you put a lot of effort into it.
M: Yeah. It turned out pretty well too.
B: It's great when you put a lot of thought and effort into something and it turns out well. I had that not
too long ago with my parents 50th wedding anniversary.
M: Oh wow. 50 years, huh, that's great.
B: Yeah. I decided it was a special occasion and I wanted to do something really special for them. So I
decided to have a special video made about their life.
M: Wow, how did you do that?
B: Well, we looked through old photo albums and found a bunch of great pictures. We used those pictures to tell their story. We had them blown up and had someone do voiceover narration, and even chose their favorite music to be a soundtrack.
M: Wow, I bet they were really happy when they saw it, huh?
B: Yeah, it was really sentimental, and they were both tearing up.
M: I bet. It's hard not to be touched when someone puts so much thought into a gift.
